The 52.5-metre Astillero Buquebus sailing yacht Doña Francisca has entered the market, she is the largest carbon fibre schooner ever built.

At 33.77-metre in length the vessel has some seriously cool features which make her both a high performance racing yacht and a top luxury cruiser. Featuring an exterior design from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4642" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="MYT Group (Company)">Studio MYT</a>, which is also the creative mind behind her luxurious interiors, and naval architecture from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/169" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Javier Soto Acebal (Company)">Javier Soto Acebal</a>, the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5305" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Solaris Yachts (Company)">Solaris Yacht</a> can accommodate as many as nine guests between four comfortable staterooms. One of the most notable things about the vessel's interior is the large spaces which seem to open up as you walk through the yacht, culminating in the master stateroom to aft which is filled with light from windows which wrap along the aft wall and ceiling. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/206739/image/large-7c822c3492baa187b38a58a3e7f969c4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/206739"><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/206740/image/large-c7c984e1ce2e855dba8479b22c34135d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/206740">Aside from the impressive width, double bathroom and aft facing bed, this master suite leads directly out onto the beach club, giving her owners immediate access to the water. This aft location also means that when there are many guests onboard, they have access to the stateroom without having to walk through the entire vessel, offering her owners additional privacy.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/206756/image/large-e424078ea2c0d92a7fc83ab3a6abd260.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/206756">The vessel seems to have internal volumes which belies her length. The main saloon is finished in creams and neutral tones which create a calm and homely atmosphere, while curved forms from the wooden finish on the ceiling to the arms of the settee lend an organic and romantic aesthetic. From here there is access to the three additional staterooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, which have been finished with panelled walls that lend the space an Asian influence. Known more recently as Angel’s Share before changing ownership in 2017, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/199" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Black Sail39.95m (131'1&quot;)Wally2009">Black Sails</a> is the design work of Argentinian, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/169" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Javier Soto Acebal (Company)">Javier Soto</a>. The yacht underwent an extensive refit by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/23" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lürssen Yachts (Company)">Lürssen</a> in 2010 with the London-based design studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/168" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Harrison Eidsgaard (Company)">Harrison Eidsgaard</a> providing the interiors, and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4785" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Amanda Levete Architects (AL_A) (Company)">Amanda Levete Architects</a> providing the deck structure. As a result of this refit, Angel's Share was awarded the World Superyachts’ Best Refit award in 2011. Under previous ownership, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/199" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Black Sail39.95m (131'1&quot;)Wally2009">Black Sails</a> competed in several prestigious regattas.

Due to be ready during the year 2020, the 33.8-metre modern sailing sloop Solaris 111 is currently under construction at the Italian yard <a href="https://sya.superyachttimes.com/companies/performance-boats-italy">Performance Boats</a> for compatriot yard <a href="https://sya.superyachttimes.com/companies/solaris-yachts">Solaris Yachts</a>. The Solaris 111 yacht will be the largest Solaris to date and the shipyard's first superyacht over 30 metres.&nbsp;<img src="/uploads/store/photo/67238/image/large-bb002aefafd1ad565f8536c5a1c4c60e.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/67238"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/67191/image/large-d8ec52dc91054038335a61f6c050e4e7.png" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/67191">Both the exterior and interior designs are the result of a collaboration between <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5305" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Solaris Yachts (Company)">Solaris Yachts</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4642" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="MYT Group (Company)">MYT Group</a>, whereas <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/169" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Javier Soto Acebal (Company)">Javier Soto Acebal</a> contributed to the naval architecture. The Solaris 111 is suited to accommodate up to eight guests across four staterooms and up to six crew. Astillero Buquebus has launched the 52.5 metre superyacht Doña Francisca. 52.5 Metre superyacht Doña Francisca launched

Another Wally breakthrough design is in the pipeline: the new Wally 130 recently ordered by an experienced yachtsman will be the fastest sailing yacht upwind. Featuring the water ballast combined with the trim tab lifting keel, this mega sloop is developed by Wally with the lines by Javier Soto Acebal, and the interiors by Foster and Partners.This movable ballast combination has been selected by Wally Research &amp; Development department to optimise safety and performance in such a large yacht: the 11-ton (24,251 lbs) water ballast improves the stability of the light displacement boat (only 84 tons - 185,200 lbs) while the 6-meter deep keel with trim tab improves the lift. The draft can be reduced to 4 meters to allow the access to ports and bays. The sail plan includes the self tacking jib for the cruising mode and the 110% jib for the racing configuration. The deck is similar to that of the Wally 143 currently under construction: it is characterized by the bulwark leaving the hull lines pure while offering more privacy and protection. Furthermore, in the Wally 130 the bulwark amidships hosts on both sides part of the water tanks (the remaining extends down below).The layout recalls a city loft building: like in the Wally 143, it is a continuous uncluttered area, a sort of a huge open cockpit. In fact, there are no social areas already defined for specific uses but the whole deck can be lived anywhere and anyway according to the different moments, requirements and mood thanks to the movable components similar to those of the 118 WallyPower aft cockpit. The stern features the so-called Terrace on the sea.The loft concept characterises the interiors as well: below deck, the layout features an aft space opening into the Terrace on the sea that uniquely includes the owner’s night area and the living area. The rest of the accommodation is for two guests in a double cabin and six crew in four cabins. All cabins have en-suites. The dining area includes the galley and is used by the owners and guests and as a crew mess. As a result, the contemporary and essential interior styling and finishing is the same throughout the interiors, with no distinction from the owner-guest to the crew-service areas. The Wally 130 is built at WallyEurope shipyard in Fano, Italy, with the latest advanced composite technology using pre-preg carbon. The delivery date is scheduled in January 2008.<noscript></noscript>
