2024 has arrived, bringing with it a fresh flurry of activity for the SuperYacht Times team. Autumn will see us celebrate the publication of our 50th newspaper issue with our Monaco Yacht Show edition, and come Spring we will be hosting our first conference in Asia.
When it comes to the Issue 48 of the SYT newspaper, this edition is teeming with first-hand accounts from industry experts, as well as the stories of skillful designers and passionate superyacht owners. One such expert is none other than Viken Group CEO Stefan Nilsson, who breaks down the beginnings of the latest force in yacht design on page 26. 
Later on, Head of Intelligence Ralph Dazert walks us through the recent influx of yacht conversions and investigates whether or not they live up to their media hype on page 10. Fraser yacht brokers Eric Noyel and Bart Kimman reveal their valuable insight and premonitions for this year’s Asian superyacht market on page 12. 
On Page 20, we take a look back at the 117.3-metre superyacht Galeb’s long-standing history throughout wars and her renovations.
